We have just issued an urgent product safety notice that may affect your members or contacts.
Tucson 5m, 6m and 8m circulating pumps manufactured between 2017 and 2024 carry a serious risk of electrocution. The mains cable can be connected to the pump in reverse, allowing the live pin to connect to the earth pin.
There are over 114,000 of these pumps installed in homes and light commercial settings in Ireland.
Tucson Pumps has launched a replacement programme and can be contacted at productsafety@tucsonpumps.ie or phone 01 842 6255 to arrange for the installation of a replacement.
A list of serial numbers of the affected pumps and more details of the recall and replacement programme can be found on the Tucson website and on at CCPC.ie. I have also attached some images that may be of use.
Tradespeople are at particular risk, so we would greatly appreciate it if you could share this information on your networks. If you have a newsletter or other publication that we could contribute to in order to further highlight this risk, please let me know.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Thanks and best regards,
Aoife
