This training course will offer expert, experience-driven and practical guidance on how to create effective tenders, how to ensure your documentation is in order and pitfalls to avoid, and how to get the selection and award criteria right from the start.
We will also show you how to manage the process in greater detail, from dealing with queries and communications with bidders, spotting and addressing potential conflicts of interest, and common pitfalls to avoid when it comes to evaluations. We will also examine debriefing, including standstill letter requirements, essential “do’s and don’ts” in debriefing meetings, and common pitfalls to avoid.

Emma is an experienced solicitor advising on a wide range of public procurement matters. She has experience on the contentious and non-contentious sides of procurement. On the non-contentious side, Emma has experience in providing advices to public sector, utilities sector and private sector clients on the conducting and running of public procurement processes by public authorities, advising on matters arising during the course of the competitive process, drafting tender documents and drafting of public service contracts. Emma has specialist expertise in public procurement disputes, and has been involved in many high-profile procurement challenges. This experience giver her an insight into the issues within a procurement procedure that are most likely to turn into a challenge, and how best to guard against them.

Lauren specialises in public procurement law has a range of high-quality experience in the area of EU Procurement law working for public sector, utility sector and private sector clients across Ireland and the UK. She has extensive experience advising clients on all aspects of the procurement process, from the application of the procurement rules, advertisement and choice of procurement process, selection and award stages right through to contract award and standstill, including both defending and initiating procurement challenges.
