Flood Risk Assessment (FRAs) are a vital step in the development process and there is an increasing awareness of the importance of planning for flood risk at the earliest intervention stages.

THE TUTOR

 

Paul Singleton, Chartered Civil/ Environmental Engineer, McCloy Consulting

Paul is an experienced Chartered Civil/ Environmental Engineer, specialising in flood risk assessment, SuDS and environmental assessment.

 

He has experience of flood risk assessment in Ireland, as well as previously having gained extensive practise of flood risk assessment for infrastructure and private development projects in the UK and Ireland. He has specific experience in water chemistry and hydraulic modelling software including Microdrainage, with niche expertise in surface water management using SuDS for developments in environmentally sensitive areas. Paul is currently providing SuDS training for the company within the UK and Ireland.

 

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

 

This course has primarily been designed and developed for those responsible for reviewing and evaluating FRAs in both the public and private sector including planners, engineers and environmental employees in local authorities, planning consultants, GIS consultants, design engineers, developers and anyone who is involved in planning and environmental management in relation to flood risk. It will also be of interest to those carrying out FRAs to gain an understanding of how FRAs would be peer reviewed prior to submission to the regulatory body.

On completion of this one-day training course, you will receive your CMG MasterClass Certificate in Evaluating Flood Risk Assessments, as well as your CPD Certificate containing 5 Structured CPD Hours. An ‘Early Bird’ discounted rate of €425 is currently available. This training course normal rate is €495. Places are limited and are allocated on a first come first served basis. PLEASE NOTE THE EARLY BIRD RATE CLOSES 3 WEEKS PRIOR TO COURSE DATE.

For all courses booked by members between now and August 31st 2020 we will offer them at €395 instead of the usual Early Bird €425/435 cost.
