Who are the interns?

The European-funded interns you host would be apprentices gaining work experience at the same time as practising their English and getting to know a new culture. The internships are usually three or four weeks although some can be longer.

While they are here, the young people work, sometimes take part in English courses and make the most of the cultural activities available to them, so they are out all day and often at the weekends. They are generally over 18 and quite independent.

What do I have to do?

Welcome a young person into your home
Offer homely accommodation
Provide two meals a day - breakfast and dinner (if you’re going to be out, you can leave dinner in the fridge and if they’re out for dinner you don’t need to cook)
